I've never heard of a houdan, interesting! They look so similar to Polish, I'd have a hard time telling them apart in a flock.

They have 5 toes and I believe mottled colored feet

Also what I've noticed about my polish (idk if it's just her or polish in general) even though she's the bottom of my flock, when crows were harrasing them today she stood straight up, warned my other girls, raised her hackles, and ran/jumped at the crows until they flew off. My BR and OE just sat there and whimpered

My anti-social, lower pecking order polish also acts as the flock sentry. She is constantly giving alarm calls. Interesting!

I think that's because they are highly strung. Extra alert because they can't see zip.
