You gotta know that Cindy is going to see angelic light rays, not me.

C'mon Fred....

Yes, indeed. This pullet was chosen. She's now home with me.

We did two batches of F1 chicks, 25 or 26 in all. All I wanted was two or three good pullets to go forward with the project. I feel very fortunate to have gotten them. Very happy.

I now let go of the XW/GSBR line. My sole focus now will be my project line. I only have space for one line of Barred Rocks and want this to have my full attention. Looking forward to the late winter mating and the spring hatching season.

Sorry Cindy, I couldn't resist. But you dead right. That pullet is indeed an angel. She's awesome.
All good, Fred...

I knew how to take it...My reply back was made tongue in cheek as well.

Btw---I am looking forward to watching your progress on your barred 'project' line....think it's gonna be excellent!

What a nice breeding pair here. Now, Ken. We want information on the line. Hope you don't mind giving us some details. You're a man a few words, but we need some background.

1. At what age do the pullets begin to lay?

2. Are they faster to feather than the Barred Rocks you have?

3. How would you "rate" the egg laying? 3 eggs per week, 4 eggs per week, or 5 eggs per week, when they're laying strong.
