The report button is a great tool. Rest assured that the moderation staff act carefully when a report is made. Unless there are obvious and blatant rule violations, we will read the entire thread and sometimes even look at other posts made by the person reported to see if there is a trend. We check IPs to see if an offender is a banned member come back for more troublemaking and such. (We pretty much know who is who in the case of returning banned members.) Sometimes we do nothing and sometimes we will edit, delete, pm the offender or ban, as the case may be.
