She does not carry the frizzle gene. You will have to breed her to a frizzled bird if you want to get frizzles. Breeding her to a regular bird will not get you frizzles.
I agree, but the literature does suggest there is a modifying gene (very rare) that will lessen the frizzling effect of the frizzle gene.
Please explain what a "Sizzle" is. My understanding is that it is basically a Silkie/Cochin cross that over the generations has been developed to create a loosely soft-feathered bird that conforms to the Silkie standard except for the feathering which isn't silkied. Is that correct?
The name Sizzle suggests strongly to me that there is a frizzle component to the breed. Was the original goal to produce frizzled birds with smooth accepted? Or were smooth birds the goal, with frizzle accepted the way it is in many other breeds?
How close to being recognized by one of the APA or the Bantam association are they?
