My dad got stung by a wasp yesterday. His hand looked so chubby, compared to the other one, which is a veiny old man hand. Sorry, I don't know what to do for it though.

Mentors and friends in the same profession are pretty much indispensable, ime. If not in your same field then career minded at least is a good start. You'll want people to bounce ideas off, vent to when you're having a bad day, etc. Kind of like this. Men work, and I've had a couple male mentors/friends that I valued greatly, but IME a female is best they just "get" what you're dealing with more and are coming at it from the same angle. Hard thing is that they can be hard to find. Just my experience though... YMMV. Good luck!
People judge. There are no if, and, or buts about it. So, you've been given great advice. Take advantage of it.
lol. Seriously though, thanks guys!![]()
Now i have books to read and lots of great advice to stew over. Gonna work on finding a mentor, i guess. My aunt perhaps, she is a professional. To sum up the mentality of my acquaintances " i count it as a good day when i find two matching socks. i am not worried about the future".......... Umm, great until you start wanting a HOUSE! I am thinking about a lot of things, having these kids off and on this summer has given me a bit more motivation. I want to be there for them, and i can't do that right now.
Have you thought of buying an old camper? The old falling apart ones are going for a song right now. I have seen many of them just rotting away on the back 40's...........If it's not considered "livable" you may get one heck of a deal, or a trade! You can always work on it after you get where you are going,.Kill 2 birds, so to speak. I really like my camper coop Otherwise boxes might do just as well, just have holes. The darkness will keep them calm while you are on the go. Plan to have water on the ready as soon as you get there, that will be the most important aspect. If you had something along this line, you could have them eating and drinking on the way, and not have to worry about settling them in when you get there. In this weather you could just park and go to sleep!OOOHHH I might have solved one of the moving so many birds issues.. antique crates !!! they are wooden and sturdy but have the holes in the slats to allow breathing and are big enough to allow movement !!! Does that sound like a good idea ?
Yay for you! My stepmom went back after getting layed off , went for "management" and though she still doesn't have a job in that area it really has helped her get other decent paying jobs she wouldn't have been considered for otherwise. (She got it through Mich Works, though, and i don't know if they still have that free program?)Thanks to all for the gentle, encouraging push to go back to school. I took the first step today, by picking up the phone and calling.
This is the neatest thing i have ever heard of!No icon for "OUCH". Here's a little old fashioned Dr. Mom for bee stings and spider bites.
Take some plain tobacco put in cup or bowl of water. Let soak up water for a few minutes. Squeezes out most of water put on bite, Cover with bandage.
Leave it stay on overnight. Repeat if necessary.
This does work to draw out poison. Reduces swelling and NO itch when healing.
