I need lots of shots of sunshine. I came from CA, moved to NH (Sunny but cold) and now here. There is no such thing as summer here.

I want to put my parakeets and some of my house plants out side. I started a bunch of garden plants in the house, we had a couple days of sun about a month ago so I planted them out side. Then the sun went away, it froze and all my garden plants died. My Koi don't know weather to hibernate or spawn. It is just depressing.

It's better than Seattle where there are no seasons for all practical purposes. No extremes.

I get more extremes here close to the coast. But 4' above sea level hardly means we ever get that cold. My wife loves it. It reminds her of home in the north of England. My nanna settled in WA, too, because it reminded her of home (Herefordshire).
