The Sussex thread!

I am officially checking out of the Sussex thread (for now). I sold my trio of Light Sussex and they will be winging their way to their new home in Texas on Monday. I almost sold them locally and then someone made me and offer I couldn't refuse so off they go. I did meet a very nice man in the process who is going to be bringing me some fertile Buff Sussex this Spring when he visits family a couple of blocks away from me. He is a Texan too! So I may be back when I have some Sussex that aren't walking around the yard tempting the hawks.

Enjoy your birds. My venture was short and sweet and even profitable. But I am not into chickens for the money

and I am off to a new, more rewarding project.

Sounds like you made a good turn around deal.

Are we talking real estate here ? I am working on my list and the SS are the next purchase. Can't decide on hatching eggs or chicks ?
