I just have to post about my Speckled Sussex girls! I have 11 different varieties of chickens, that include silkies as well

But my SS girls are the best, there are a few things that I have noticed about these chickens:

*Super-friendly, follow you around and curious
*Cold-Hardy, my girls go stomping thru the snow that reaches past their bellies
*Consistent layers
*Gorgeous

I will continue to follow this thread and here are my girls

Yes, that is a Welsummer and Black-Sex Link in the doorway. Pretty sure they were thinking they were missing out on a treat. Thanks for looking

I raise welsummers, j have roughly 50 of them in both BF and LF! Are you over on the Welsummer thread as well?

I need to get some better pics of them, they rarely like to stand still, even for a treat! I'll have to check out the Welsummer thread tho. Close to 50? I'm sure that is a gorgeous sight!

Just got really turned on to Sussex... I have some Coro/Light splits... 5 in all. I just love them. They are so calm and quiet and HUGE. I can't wait for spring to start hatching!!!
