I have two young pairs of svarts, they are mating so should be laying soon

Mine start at right around 5 months

Is there a breeding standard for them yet? I have some little guys I hatched a few weeks ago. They seem to have a little pink on the end of the toe and a little white on the end of the wing.

The blacker the better. Ultimately, you shouldn't be getting white toes and white feathers but we all have to start somewhere.
Take the birds you hatched and breed them. Hatch A LOT and cull A LOT to achieve better stock.

Can anyone weigh in on the importance of obtaining papers for svarts from the breeder so you can prove they were imported legally? Ewe Crazy, do you all offer papers?
