I bought my pullet "Rey" from a feed store. She didn't look like the other chicks (why I picked her) but she was being sold as an Australorp (sp?). I don't recall how much I spent on her because I was so certain she was an Australorp. She never grew out of her puffy cheeks so I made a post questioning her breed.
I am pretty positive she is an EE. She is 35 weeks old and hasn't started laying like my other hens.

Quick update on my EE/Cochin mixes
The rooster has turned out to be a big handsome fella with iridescent green mixed into his barred coloration. The hen did turn out to be an olive egger after all. I think the tiny brown egg I found earlier this winter was actually one of our mama hens starting back up as I haven't found any since. Here is picture of them now (with mama photo bombing in the foreground) along with a picture of her first egg. It's not quite olive but it's pretty none the less.
