Maud knocked on Adrienne's door. "Tea, Princess," she called. She hoped Gwen wouldn't try to follow Linnet. That was the last thing Linnet needed on her mind.
Linnet wrapped her arms around Peter's neck as soon as she was close enough. "Oh, how I have missed you so," she whispered into his ear.
Richard rolled his eyes. "If you aren't hungry, fine. But I am," he said as he strode off muttering a curse or two under his breath.

Edwin waited impatiently with the three horses. He was eager for a ride and to escape the castle and his mother.
Jane decided to go see if Cliffton was already at the stables.
Mariah laughed at the king. "'My dear, we need to get to business," she said in all seriousness. "We have a kingdom to take care of and several children who need to be married!"
Katrina handed the clean stack of sheets to the first maid she passed. Before the girl could object, Katrina headed to the kitchen for a quick bite to eat.
