That is AWESOME!!
You did really well with your incubator. This is GREAT.
Don't trip in the dark.
I have someone interested in letting me rent their barn/pasture and dropping a mobile home on it. Hubby is cautious, I am ecstatic. It comes WITH A CHICKEN COOP AND RUN as well.
I will have some good wellies for sure with Opa's Stock!!
I need to take photos of the iffy lines from hatching eggs this spring and see what y'all think. One is the blonde chick (all brown, no partridge coloring), some are getting salmon chests, some lots of red feathering, some all black under feathers. and some the neck feathers are interesting. I think the roos have too many finger point, not.
Little Cassidy is not doing that great. That splay legg never got fixed and only got worse with the slipped tendon turning into a bent upper leg bone as well. Kept her to see how her coloring came in as one other chick hatched from that batch and I want to figure out which one it is.
Managed to get the legbands off of the last hatch and rebanded 2 of them.
Have more ROOS than hens, but culling hasn't started yet. I will farm them out here, or mark the keepers with bands and let everyone else run around unbanded.
I can't wait until CHICKENSTOCK. I am thrilled to be getting Opa's Wellie chicks.
THANKS AGAIN!
Bonnie
