Anniebee, if they've only eaten 3 over 6 weeks, then I would say yes, they were trodden upon, or perhaps someone laid a shell-less egg. That happens to me occasionally, especially if I can't get out there all day.

its hard to tell from that photo... it looks like a white earlobe? If it is a white earlobe, not a Welsummer. Can you get a picture under better lighting?
hard to tell from the photo, if the ear lobes are white it could possibly be a lt brown leghorn.
