Glad to help with ideas, after working with foster dogs for 3 years now, I like to make things as cleanable as possible, everyone stays healthier that way.

I have been involed with youth for 20 plus years with larger animals projects(lambs , goats, calves).
On the start up prjects for juniors, we often ask them to write a paper outlining how they intend to care for the aniamls, types of housing or shelter they will be using, feed resourses , mentor ect. It is a lot of responsibility to rasie stock, and while we would donate animals to members to help them started, we would like to know that they have researched the project and are aware of the needs of the animals, and have a mentor in place to assist if need be. This has worked well and there are many of these type of projects in place all over the conutry, some sponsered by national organizations.American Hampshire sheep ass, American Polypay Sheep ass. are are cuople that come to mind. It may be in an essay "type" format, but can show how that some of the entrants will have given a lot of thought to the project, and some will not have given much. Just an Idea.

Hey guys. This is my first time posting in this thread, and I was just wondering if my hen is a wellie. I never thought he was pure welsummer. I got him out of the black sex link bin, but he was completely different from the others in that bin so i think he just got mixed in. I just wanted to see if any of the Welsummer Professionals could tell me if he is full, or at least half wellie as i have always thought.

Sexlinks can vary in colors and I have to say it is a mixed breed, a Sexlink, and if it does come from a hatchery, then it would be a poor example of a Welsummer. What color of egg does she lay? She doe snot have the correct colors, and leg color is wrong, should be yellow.

Nice little girl you got there! she is lovely at her own, regardless of what breed she really is.

I agree, she looks like a mix. Her coloring looks like an EE, but she's got the single comb and no beard. Wellies should have yellow legs.

Moose is mostly Barber lines, but some other lines were added in as well. I'd be happy to send you some eggs when I get my breeding flock up and running. You guys are probably going to get really tired of me posting photos to pick the girls for breeding.
