Pinks, I've a girl who does the same thing, cops the same attitude in her nest box, hackles go up and I get the warning screech.....don't put your hands under me!!!!! I usually leave her alone to do her thing as right now those are eating eggs. Hatching eggs are a whole different ballgame

Here is that egg in the second row from the left, second egg from the front. That row is all Welsummer eggs.
