The Welsummer Thread!!!!

Am sure Pinks will respond, but am pretty sure that is a Wellie egg under the girl. Eggs are terribly difficult to photograph and get the proper color to show on everyones puter screen. Saw a picture the other day, maybe on this thread, where someone had photographed their eggs inside a terracotta pot giving us a great representation of color as we all know that color and can evaluate the eggs accordingly.

Pinks, I've a girl who does the same thing, cops the same attitude in her nest box, hackles go up and I get the warning screech.....don't put your hands under me!!!!! I usually leave her alone to do her thing as right now those are eating eggs. Hatching eggs are a whole different ballgame:)

Yes that is a Welsummer egg...I was inside of a galvanized metal structure and I used my flash inside that structure to take the picture because it was a little dark in the nest box area. Ever used a flash inside of a shiny metal building...a small shiny metal building? You get lots of glare and lots of flash.

Here is that egg in the second row from the left, second egg from the front. That row is all Welsummer eggs.
