1. What size of back yard do you have?
We live on 15 acres.
2. How many chickens do you have?
7 guineas, 50+ chickens, 30 eggs in the incubator and 11 eggs underneath a broody hen.
3. What area do you live in? Rural, country, mountains, suburbs, city, etc...
I live in a rural "farming" area in the middle of nowhere.
4.What size coop do you have? With run or without? (small, medium, large)
I have several coops; the large coop being 10x12. It has an attached 8x12 run that we use if we have to go out of town and cannot let the chickens out to free range.
The other coops and breeding pens are inside pole-barns and sheds.
TOP 3 reasons why you have more than 20 chickens.
I started off with 12 baby chicks of various breeds then started going to poultry swaps.
When one of my Silkies went broody, I had a bunch of babies. Then I got excited and bought an incubator, and now I'm addicted to egg auctions.
I love various breeds of chickens, so I keep buying new breeds that I'm interested in. I particularly like bantam breeds but keep my large fowl for eggs and meat.
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!
