There's a gander in my tub! *now empty* :(

Yes they all sure love to mess up clean water as soon as its provided

Just make sure he's eating and drinking well and change the water as often as possible so its rinsing the nostrils, beak and eyes.

Best of luck

Walking in on this I'm glad he was in the house in the tub cause I would have freaked if he was outside. I definitely would have thought he had been attacked.

ETA: I does look like the lump is definitely decreasing in size.

Oh my I am with you, that would have freaked me out too. Sounds like an abcess and it's draining. Good job and keep up the good work on this fellow, he's a sweet heart. ♥

Daggone it, Froggie... I would have freaked out walking into the bathroom and finding him like that.

Poor poor baby! I bet he was just feeling horrible before you guys got him on the medicine. That abcess is really going down a lot in size too. Good luck with the rest of his "sick bay" time.

A little blood goes a long way so dont worry too much. Its a good sign and shows the pus has drained away and he must feel a LOT more comfortable.

Good luck with the rest of the recovery period

Thanks everyone for the support. That isn't even bad. This was after he was cleaned up and DH blew him dry with the blowdrier. I keep wiping his vent clear of the gross secretions. Can't wait for this to clear up.

Hey Froggie... is it the vent that's secreting or the nares?? I was kind of confused about why a nasal infection would cause issues with the vent... I figured that maybe a mass amount of drainage had gone down the gooses throat and caused a clear-ish poop at the vent. But this pic makes it seem like it's really his nares that are leaking (which makes total sense).
