There's a gander in my tub! *now empty* :(

Is the gander the girl or the boy?

Hey Froggie, how's your Sebbie doing today?

Trish, that stuff sounds great! I think I'm gonna order some. How well does the "fog" work in the winter?

a gander is the boy

goose = girl
duck = girl
chicken = girl

It's usually the boys that have the "other" name.

Yep. You hear the quote "What is good for the goose is good for the gander."

Still congested, but no blood today. Since it's not raining and a bit of a nice day we just decided to let him outside for a bit. He seems happy to be outside, but boy you sure can see how much weight he lost. He has been eating well, but he looks so much smaller than our female sebbie

Lydia, I looked at the oxine as well and it sounds like something we should look into getting.

I'm so glad he's feeling better!!

Yeah, I bet he didn't eat nearly as much since he was all alone... no one to share his meal with

Except swans... they're weird
Girl = Pen
Boy = Cob
Baby = Cygnet

odd.

Silly goose.

I'm glad to hear the Tylan is working. Thanks for posing the pics of the drainage. Honestly, all the gross and scary pics on the forum, make me feel like I know what to look for in my birds.

I've only had baby birds in my tub so far, still I can imagine you are ready for him to get all better.

I've been using oxine for over a year now and don't think I'll be with out it. so many ways to use it and I have not fogged. I bought a garden sprayer and thats what i use. can't afford a fogger. Also if I ever need to fog I'd use a humidifer. Grat stuff. I buy mine from AtoZpets I buy the 5 gallon bucket no activator. it last me about a year with 2 10by 10 coops to spray and 34 animals to spray once every 2 weeks.

Thanks, Trish... all super good info to know. I'll pick some up right away so I'm using it before I NEED it! My birds are only inside to sleep but during winter they're in for 12 hours instead of just 8 hours like summer. I always worry so much about them getting sick from being locked up for so long in the house (I clean so much duck dust out of there all the time!). I'll feel better if I know I'm being proactive
