I am noticing that alot of it falls back out of his mouth as if he is unable to swallow properly. I decided to give him some baby food like we did for our reptiles that wouldn't eat. Gave him a bit of spinach mixed with his meds and he seemed to be able to swallow this better. He is trying to drink after each bit of food I give so I hope I am doing the right thing.

I know it's so hard sometimes to know whats best, we want them to get healthy and be part of their flock again and then again not to suffer, you know how is he mentally, does he seem to be giving up? I would keep on like you are as long as he is responding positively and doesn't seem to be giving up. We he does then you'll know it's time to say goodbye.

Sounds like a Sienfeld episode....

I'm sad to say Sebbie boy just passed. DH gave him a warm bath as he had some poo all over his bum. We were blowing him dry when he just stopped breathing.

I'm glad he isn't suffering, but we are sad as he was just the sweetest bird and our 1st goose. RIP Sebbie boy. We will miss you.

I am so sorry, I know you are devastated. The only consolation and it's not much you probably are thinking is what Ryan said about him being warm and loved till the end. You did all you could and much more. Again i am so sorry..

Thank you for your kind words. DH is just as devestated as I am as are our boys. When something like this happens we always ask if we did the right things. He is now under our beautiful Japanese Maple.
