we have 10 acres so we don't see them often if at all.

Musher who comes to Alaska for 4 weeks in the winter to run his huskies in the ididarod, he is from Philly.

Other side we ahve crazy ex base commander, they are here for about 8 weeks in the summer, who is rebelling against his millitary days by wearing his hair really long and fixing his clothes with Duct tape.

never met either formally...

but I have met crazy dog woman who is a back yard breeder of 40 mutt dogs (as if there are not enough in the shelters (ps I own all mutt dogs, and love em)) who thinks that everyone around is shooting her dogs....(which they are not, everyone around here races their dogs thus has more important things to do than worry about her.) She once had the cheek to ask if my animals were spay/neutered (which they are...even the goat lol)... I told her I had connections with Animal control...(she is black listed with them, they like to keep an eye on her) She is not my cup of tea.


others, all mushers, which makes for a noisy winter ( I like the noise of the dogs in the Icy night, kinda Spooky) but also makes for a compassionate set of neighbours with animals etc...

Pretty lucky, never see any of them...and rarely see crazy dog lady...thankfully. we are not people, people...

None of my neighbors are too weird... One lady has pool parties all night long occasionally, but that's about it.

I forgot to include my new neighbors across the road who I just met yesterday. They have 5 horses, 10 kid goats (all billies), 6 big geese, untold number of chickens with no coop. 3 small children. That's just what I saw in 15 minutes. All this and not enough money for grocerys or clothes. Nice people tho!?!?
