They have hatched!!

I have been waiting for this moment all of my life lol so far I have seen 5 chicks out of 14, so how long should I wait to see if the others have hatched and discard eggs that didn't? And the hen is still sitting.

CONGRATS!!!!

I'm not experienced with hens, but when incubating, (of course everyone's opinions on this differs) most give them at least a couple days if not more past "hatch day". I would think if she's still sitting that's a good sign there might be more on their way to hatching. I'd probably wait until she starts coming off the nest and then check the remaining eggs before discarding. I could be wrong though.

Well I have made my calculations of hatching day for tomorrow the 5th so you may be right about some still hatching
