Thimbleberries Kits..."Pansy Park" Quilt Underway **Top Complete!**

Here's one, Kathy, contains instructions and fabric (for the top only, not the backing or batting). I did see a couple that actually had the backing fabric as well.

I think one of the things I find so intriguing about quilts is that there is literally no limit to what one can create! If you can visualize it, likely you'll be able to find the fabrics to fit that mental image and thereby produce whatever you like. The hard part is in knowing how to piece it all together. Which is probably a total cake walk for you, huh Cyn?

There are a number of quilting bees, clubs, classes and what not in this area, usually offered in the fall and winter months. I swear, the first winter we're in the house, I'm gonna take up a course! This is something I definitely want to know how to do!!

This is my most favorite quilt pattern that I have made. My Dear Mother-In-Law has it. I have another kit of this one, yet to do. This is a picture from the ebay listing. And guess what .... as complicated as it looks, it is a, "Block of the month for beginners!"

halo, I have used the 5in sqrs quite often..I have made several baby quilts, a table runner, Christmas placemats, just by sewing the blocks together and adding borders. There are lots of books that have more detailed patterns using the charm paks. I'm sure Kathyinmo can tell ya more.

Great Googly Moogly!! No wonder hand made quilts can fetch such astronomical prices. Especially if they are an original and a one of a kind item. I just love the colors in that one Kathy. Positively beautiful. It reminds me of the Northern Lights over a snow covered meadow at night. Very, very pretty!!

And to answer your question....yes, I'm interested...but unfortunately, I'm tied up with the house right now, not to mention that my one and only sewing machine is tucked at the back end of the storage shed with all of our other worldly possessions between the doorway and it!

I couldn't get to it right now if my life depended on it! **Insert irritated look here!** *sigh* But some day this shall all be behind me........

So, do you have all of the instructions for this particular pattern? And are they easy to follow? You mention it was one of the block of the month for beginners? Well heck! I bet even I could do that then!!

(you have no idea of how much of a fumble butt I am around a sewing machine!

If I'm really lucky, I can hem a pair of slacks and not permanently attach myself to it in the process!)

Serrin,
Yes, I have all the patterns. One for each block. I love Jinny Beyer patterns and fabrics. My favorites! She has a website with all her beautiful creations, and tons of free patterns. I have spent hours drooling there!

You let me know when you are ready to make a quilt, and I will set you up with everything you need for your first quilt. That is something I love to do .... Once you start, I am sure you will be "hooked!" You would love a class, I am sure. I still take classes, and continue to learn new techniques and short-cuts.
