Things you wish you could say

It means do what's best for you and the diesel trucks.
I didn't mind phone support. I'm a hands on, physical type person. The stress of dealing with problems or issues 90% of the time, as well as being behind a computer screen for 45 hours a week wasn't my cup of tea.

Performance diesel mechanic? It was my hobby that I turned into a profession for almost 9 years.

I hate that if you have a hobby people will try and use it to there advantage. If you do photography, drawing or painting, filming, coding, any kind of performing arts and other stuff, people will want to use it to there greatest advantage. It’s annoying, though maybe it’s just me.
I was trying to catch up on the thread before I posted, but this. This got me. You are 110% correct on this issue.

I don’t know why, but if an art is your profession, or even if you’re just an amateur, a person will want your work for free and it’s so annoying! I’m glad you like my work, but I’m not spending 50+ hours for a piece of work, using my materials and my time, just so you can have a pic of Fee Fee for free! You wouldn’t ask that of your vet, would you? You wouldn’t ask that if your landscaper, would you?

That being said, I’m also the typical artist who believes their work isn’t worth anything, so I would already undercharge. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now I really need to run to TSC.

My friend Autumn started Pretty n Steel (Etsy store) I bought lamps, boot jack, coat rack and decorative cross from her when she was just starting out. I always paid over what she asked because I KNEW I was getting a good product for the price. A year into it, she was bummed about hitting a plateau in sales. I convinced her to raise her prices 30%

She sells to Australia, New Zealand, UK and Canada all the time now.

Know your worth. True friends will support you by buying from you. Not exploiting you.

When people complain about things that are free! FREE! I work at a school cafeteria and lunches are free this year because of the pandemic. And we still have parents that complain about the free food :smack
I know. It makes no sense. Just send them with a lunch if you don't like what’s served.
