I wish I could say, "How the heck do we get the 13 year old rule enforced?"

Is it just me or does there seem to be an awful lot of children on this site lately? Some are admitting their age and it's under 13. I keep reading threads and they seem to all be started by children. Maybe it's just my new glasses making me feel old

We have been told by Nifty not to engage, to report instead. And reporting doesn't work, the underage kids just come back right away under a different account and the Mods do nothing to discourage this behavior.

They do ban people for being under age. I am asking what more people think should be done, specifically to “discourage underage kids from making alternate accounts.” I agree that underage use is a problem. I just fail to see what more could be done about it other than to report/ban

I was under the impression they banned IP addresses. I may be wrong.

Pretty sure they just ban the specific account. Banning an IP address would be both extremely difficult and would effectively ban an entire household or more.

The bad thing is that I would be very upset if I was banned because my kid sibling made an account underage

Well in my neighborhood, three other houses have the same IP address. I would be pissed if my neighbors got me banned from BYC
