I came across a message my grandfather sent a few days before Christmas and I had never responded. Thinking I meant to later and then forgot to, but he passed away in May from covid complications

So there is this one thing left undone that is causing you a lot of regret. I would bet there are a hundred happy memories you have of your grandfather that this one little thing is blocking out. Don't let that happen. Set this little regret in a corner, take out those happy memories, and enjoy those instead. You know that's what your grandfather would want you to do. He wouldn't want a moment's carelessness to eclipse a lifetime of joy and love that you shared. He would forgive you. Forgive yourself. Shine light on those memories and let go of the darkness.
