The rain needs to soak into the ground to replenish the ground water. The ground water is drawn up into wells. If the ground water dries up, so do the wells. Then the sinkholes come.But why?

If everyone is doing it, then it can have that much of an impact. You saw the water restrictions I posted, right? I wish I could say that the restrictions are due to greed, but I've seen the reservoir levels. I've seen our wetlands parks that are cracked, dry earth instead of wetlands.
