The queen is in a cage. Only the scouts will be leaving as they search for a new home. The rest will all stay where the queen is. She's in a cage and isn't going anywhere.

I should still start a list of names 4 months in advance. That is a lot of bees, and if they are all female, then I am going to need to scout far and wide for enough names. The Queen is Bea, though. No doubt there.

The male bees are drones and exist for the sole purpose of mating with the queen bee on her maiden flight. In the fall as winter approaches the workers drive the drones out of the hive to die.

So I should make a homeless shelter for the males? I can and will totally do that.
