Hey I found a thread with that title.
I fixed it. You can go be sassy in it

Umm.. wait... where? I wanna sassy thread! I looked at your recent posts and can't see anything??

@SourRoses, here's how you do it:

What is this?

That appears to be a chicken. :lau

By adding the ROFL emoji, the OP knows you are intending your response to be taken as a joke.

You're welcome. (Sorry, there is no "taking a bow" emoji.)

We totally need a bowing emoji!
But, umm, I'm still skeered of getting snapped at. I mean, try telling someone it's not called a "crown". Oh, how I am tempted though.

Not exactly. I'm saying the roots of rap and hip hop go way back, and yes, chanting is a part of those roots. Cultures the world over have some form of chanting in their musical history. Rap is credited with coming out of the Bronx, but the roots go way deeper.

Everything is connected, somewhere in the past.

Except country. :p
Where did country come from :pop

Where did country come from :pop
Irish and Scottish indentured servants that settled, once free to do so, in the Appalachian mountains.

Bluegrass is closer to Irish and Scottish folk music, and country came out of that.

Germans had Polka (and still do, and it's very popular) and Germans settled as well, though not as many. That infused into *some* parts of country music as well.

But if you like Rock or Pop music of any variety - you can thank our African infusion of people. They brought that rhythm with them and blessed the world with it.

Just found this documentary about Country Music:
