Thinking About a Parakeet: Pics Added!!!

I'm wondering if this one wasn't hand fed....but I'm doubtful. She is VERY calm. I'm not even sure it's a female because of her young age. Hopefully I'll know at some point. She's not loud at all, steps up to my finger. And she watches me...all day. Creepy in a way!

I'm hoping to teach her to speak, but if it's a female, I know the females usually don't speak. This is a blast!

It is very, very, very painful to hand raise parakeets... LOL. They latch on to you like attack dogs.. hehe. My one friend use to raise all kinds of parrots and such, and those little buggers would have her hands bleeding.......

Looks male to me but with mutations its harder to tell when they are young

Yes...the mutation makes it more difficult. This one had a more pink cere than the other lutino bird. It's cere was already bright blue/purple. If this one winds up being male, that's fine with me too!
