What kind of eggs? And what will you do with so many chicks?

They are RIR x GLW cross. Some will stay and some will be sold. I'm predicting a pretty low hatch rate since my test hatch on these was 3/11. We shall see.
We have enough area for about 100-150 more juvinile/bantams. So not too worried about the number.

I've been waiting for a shipment of eggs- - - -- will see when they arrive . . . .

They were numbered when I collected them so I know which are oldest.

They will also be turned by hand so i have to keep track some way lol

I try to make the birds pay for their own feed during the season when everyone wants them. Then I eat everyone who has been free loading over the winter to help with MY feed bill...LOL


Don't toss them yet. I have had them survive drops to 50F & spikes to 116F.

I set 20 more mixed breed turkeys & 18 mallards today...due 5/14.

well good thing i kept them in the incubator instead of throwing them in the trash because i think i found out what the problem was the fan i set to blow air into the incubator was faceing the wrong way and was unplugged it sure made me feel stupid the temps are right where they sould be now

Alright... put me down for 60. They all fit. I know I'm starting early but the eggs couldn't wait to be put in.
