It becomes a judgement call-- you can candle each one to see if all have overly large air cells. you can break a hole in the top and look and that also provides more air into hte eggs while you are deciding. I'm not sure exactly on the siutation of the umbilicus isssue, Is the yolk still out ? SOme people cover belly with salve like petroleum jelly and put in cup while it heals over. Baby will need help with food and water. So I was having troubles with large air sacs at the last week. I upped the humidity during hatch. I have several Turkeys that have moved around (eggs roll around) and a couple have externally pipped. I got the courage to see if one needed help and sure enough it did. The membrane is clinging to them. One already passed. So the one I helped still is slightly attached at the umbilical cord. What do I do with that? Secondly, there were a couple that were wiggling and are not now. Should I dig into them or is it probably to late? Since I'm having troubles, is it safe to bet the rest need help too?
