Can't seem to have a 'no-pips' time to do it, and they were playing Russian Nesting Dolls with the empty shells and the other eggs, so I did a quick transfer/headcount. Hard to count / see into a
brinsea without taking off the lid, LOL!
4 BO's & 1 FR in broodlerland,
two BO & one BR out, but still damp in the incubator,
seven tiny pips - 5 BO, 2 BR/RIR crosses, reading magazines,
one turkey egg sitting there looking majestic and waiting for the 15th
three WR eggs doing the same thing
one BO due by midnight last night that isn't doing ANYTHING - not pippin', not rockin'.
Meaning - so far 50% are out, their 21 days was at midnight last night and the 'out' ones were mostly pipped then, but only one was out then. Everybody I can see looks well-formed and has the appropriate level of vigor for age, so I'll take it - so far!
The only differences between this hatch and other in the
brinsea is breeds & that I opened the vent fully at the end instead of just over halfway. I'm guessing breeds IS slightly relevant, because almost all prior hatches in that incubator were FR and hatched late day 20 & day 21 - the only FR in this hatch popped first, late on day 20.
