This guy just does not match any breed in the book. HELP Please

yup your right he does not have a 5th toe. Ugh..I don't think he is pure breed. But we should be able to get pretty close.

The stance and spurs make him look like a game roo of some sort. When I was younger, I had a little mixed bantam roo...his spurs were about 2 1/2 inches long!!! My dad would routinely cut them back....

Hmmmm well after you said that I looked up game cocks chickens and found this picture.

(THIS IS NOT A PIC OF MY ROO. I DO NOT CONDONE FIGHTING CHICKENS)

mine looks like this when he approaches other rooster through the fence. He totally poofs out his neck feathers.

More than I have ever seen other roosters do. Well needless to say I am NOT happy if this is a fighting chicken.

Or that it may have been put in that situation. I may have to find him a home if he stays aggressive.

:hit Maybe if I build him a coop and run away from the others but yet still in sight and sound of chickens, he will mellow out???

He may just be a little intimidated...he is the newcomer and they are staring at him...mine was an absolute sweetheart

I have real Gamecocks, caught wild from Greenwood SC, just this past June. They were recently hatched up there, and DH brought home 13 at one time. They grew to be 7 roosters, and 6 hens. That went downhill real fast, about a month ago. The dominant male rooster..was busy taking heads off of all the other roosters that morning, and I had to separate them all. We now have 1 rooster left, and the 6 hens. I don't know how to load the pictures on here yet though.

I just have to seperate him from the others and maybe find a hen for him. I may find a home for him. He is 80% aggressive but may mellow seperated.
