Yep... I lost about 15 hens to theft. Which is sadly not usual for South Africa. Frustrating for me though, after driving 300 miles (one way) to Cape Town to collect them and paying a fortune for them!

I think my incubator is going to burst next week when I shove all those chicken eggs in there as well And I'm planning to incubate them upright in cartons if I can squeeze them in...

When I first got my incubator I didn’t read the directions and I was like “oh yeah I can totally fit 30 eggs in there...” I shoved them in there... they incubated, and 29/30 hatched...wow! I have to say though I won’t never read the directions ever again.. it was so hard to find out how that thing worked!

I made sure to read the instructions on this one, but I already forgot how many eggs for what species you can fit in there... Not that that is anything more than a guide really. You get small eggs and big eggs... It fits however many it fits.
