DS is very exited. I'm still in denial about this. It will probably sink in when I candle in a few days and see the babies in the eggs... I had a read through @Rammy's KC hatching thread this morning to see the little ones and get an idea of what to expect. I've never, ever been this unprepared for a hatch, ever. Right until I got the eggs I didn't even know what breed they were Thankfully I have 4 weeks (- 1 day now) to prepare!

I'll have you know that I am down to about 45 birds, thank you very much. (I might go over 100 this year, but you know, that's just planning, it doesn't count yet.)

I just rolled them for the last time before bedtime, so it's hands off the rest of the evening for them now. I'm thinking of candling them around Friday-Saturday and then again on day 10 or so, to see how they develop

Only 45? That's not bad at all. I peaked at 107 a few years ago and it would've been much more if I didn't lose so many birds to the <bleeping> mongoose and thefts. Chicken farming in Africa has it's challenges
