We switched to aluminum cans after we had something chew through a plastic one.We keep our feed in aluminum cans with lids. They work great - occasionally I'll get an earwig or spider in there and I'll just scoop them out for the chickens to munch.
We have an infestation and everything comes to my yard around here at some point anyway. I live in enough country that dumping them somewhere else just makes them someone else's problem.Okay I might get blow back on this post. But I live trap my mice and take them to the cemetery.
Because.... we have a resident red tail who nests every spring in the big old trees.
And I’d hope they make lots of mouse babies so her babies won’t grocery shop in my yard.
Truly though we have very few mice.
