This isn't true! I mean come on! Maybe back in the 60s...

I know it isn't in there, but you really CAN'T fix stupid I guess. Until Hurricane Katrina, would you believe that there was only 1 black person in the entire county? And that was the preacher in question. Believe me, if there had been a way to keep the kids from going to school when those families moved in, they would have done it!
It just disgusts me because it is so blatant and out in the open. Not that it would be better if it was whispered mutterings in dark corners, of course, but just the thought that in 2011 it is considered perfectly normal and acceptable to spit at someone and say "I'm not eating any food touched by a ******" and get applauded.....

My wife has a friend married to a mexican guy and she is white and she gets dirty looks and stuff said to her all the time by mexican women. I was shocked when she told me this, apparently that is something not acceptable in some facets of the mexican culture. The man's family members have said things also. The man has left his culture also and prefers to speak english and has a very good job also.

Yup. The pockets of evil do exist. I'm an old lady now, but when I was 10 My maternal grandmother (from Kansas, originally) said something so .... Racist. I was flabbergasted. My mother challenged her, and she replied with some sarcastic comment. Later, my mother took care to talk to me about it. People's appearances have no bearing on their worthiness, and it's no different than Dalmations and Beagles and Great Danes and Chihuahuas - all are dogs, and have no trouble interbreeding. Cats, too. We are people and we are all differennt.

Gosh I loved my mom. She died when I was 13.

Anyway, years later whenever I encounter evil and ugliness expressed by some folks against other folks because of skin color, or religion, or sexual orientation, it still amazes me. That's something "God" should strike down, not the hybridization of the human race.

I have a friend at work who looks Mexican, but are100% native american. He was walking to work and a car stops and tells him " Go back across the border!" and drives off. I couldn't believe it, but thought my friend has more of a right to be here than that person.

I hate racism on all levels, but believe it shows their intelligence.

I also grew up in SoCal. in O.C. left there several yrs. ago... too crowded, smog, etc. there's work, there's also a lot of people looking for work, it surprises me that 50 people+wll show up for a job interview that pays a little over minimum wage...
