At my daughter's pleading, I incubated and hatched one of "Speck's" eggs. She is a White Laced Red Cornish Bantam. The roo is a Frizzled Red Bantam Cochin.
Figures this would hatch, and of alll the shipped expensive eggs I've set I've ended up with pathetic hatches (and mostly roos.....!!!)
I'll post pics when it dries out.
Wonder if it will be a frizzle. It DOES have feathered feet...

I know, we have random crosses sometimes. We were worried for a while that the eggs we were incubating were a Mottled Cochin over a Cuckoo Silkie!

Thank goodness, they turned out to be Mottled Cochin over Black Frizzle Cochin.
Let's see...unless the hard feathering gene in Cornish interferes, it should have about 50% chance of frizzling. There are a lot of other possibilities, but this is most likely.
