Those who need help in sexing peafowl

Thor has everything male except breast color and just a few primaries. But if we can use primary feathers there are still multiple reason's why Thor's a male.

It is still a duck and if you read my comments you would know why i say this, it's a joke get over yourself.. we are not arguing we are trying to show Bird rain why we see female and they still want to disagree.

Ok. That's just my opinion. I'm not going to argue with you. Just because what I say is what I believe, doesn't mean anyone else has to agree with me. Just something to think of.

Well it is an open forum....it is for discussing. The original poster wanted to help in sexing peafowl....well others are posting that his methods may be slightly wrong and he needs to reevaluate. Would you want to lead people astray to wrong info Animalsrmylife? I am new to peas this year, and if I were to look up how to sex peafowl, I wouldn't want wrong info. Maybe it did get a little out of hand, but then again this place is for discussing and everyone has their own opinion. If you don't like it, quit adding to the madness.

So let's summarize. The author starts a thread on helping sex peafowl. The author is unknown to the regular crowd. The author gets a couple of responses from some folks who have hatched hundreds of peafowl (this year). The comments are generally blown off. Then lo and behold the author has mis-sexed their own bird. The thread then goes back and forth between incorrect information based on almost zero experience and helpful information and examples from vast experience and time proven methods all while maintaining a sense of decorum and humor until post #289.

Your right, as I already stated 23 pages on an obvious peahen is kind of crazy.

Haha yeah Merry Christmas! I have been busy sitting in a stand watching a doe and her fawn, but I wanted to say, we all are just trying to help and yes some of us have lots of experiance with peafowl and everyone wants to help share the knowledge. It is your bird so it can be whatever you want it to be, just let us know when it is older what it is. if some people sound argumentative it is just because sometimes we get frustrated trying to explain things. no one is perfect, but still I love all of you people and your differences. Also, keep in mind, there are some large scale peafowl breeders that will hardly give you the time of day. they just won't talk. I value anyone who is willing to talk to me about birds. I gota go four more deer walked out and I need to get photos of them. I hope I said everything nicely, please have a great Christmas! <3
