I still say female, but hope the OP proves all of us wrong.

Even my youngest males look *very* male, and they are three months old.

You can't pay attention to the color of the breast feathers only the shape. Thor is a PIED peafowl and he's turning white I promise. I think that's what's throwing us all off for a loop because his breast and neck feathers are turning white. What does the finger length have to do with this? Are you saying the fingers are the toes or are they the primary wing feathers? If it involves Spalding peafowl I can promise you that it won't work. Thor is a Pied peafowl; and a late bloomer. What does OP mean?

Pluck a neck feather from Thor and one from her sister, place them side-by-side and take a picture of them.
OP = Original Poster, you.

I'm no expert, but I always thought that a pied's white was visible at birth? If not right at birth, when fully feathered it would be, right?

I think Dany12 is talking about finger length of the feather as shown below.

That's what I believed too, but then my neighbor told me the reason why Thor might have the color of the peahen instead of a peacock by now is because he's turning white. I thought she might be just crazy. The only variety of peachick that I know that changes color is the BS. Thor and Calypso have no BS DNA in them. Well I guess I'm the crazy one for not believing her. She told me she has only seen it happen twice. It must be rare if it only has happened twice in 30 years.

Is there a way to pluck feathers without having them hurt the bird a lot. I've never pulled feathers before.
