Thank you. I couldn't name that many ducks. I like having the 2 I got. The 4 ducklings I gave to a friend. They send pictures of those ducklings every now and then.

And this is the person that agrees with you on Thore being a hen?Calypso's speckled breast is starting to fade out. I think she is turning her colors along with Thor. He kept records. Were he got his peafowl from was McMurray Hatchery except his purples. He would record when one male would be in and color coat the egg when they were put in the incubator. He's had these peafowl since his parents started 30 years ago. Peafowl are lucky if they reach 20.
Keep reading he has raised a pair before and can identify a hen as a hen when i posted one that look like his, i have post photos of my males at the same age all threw this thread but he wants Thore to be a male therefor it is a male to him and a duck to some of us!Please, please don't make this thread go away! I have gotten more laughs from reading thru this than the last 3 years of SNL put together. And, just to add my 2 cents( to a thread who's net worth has got to be higher than most lotto jackpots) Thor(a) is a pretty little HEN, no doubts whatsoever in my mind, but I've only had Peas for 19 years, so my experience is limited.I think if you( Birdrain92) had a male of the same age to compare these 2 with, there would never have been a discussion started. It is truly so much easier to tell when you have some of each sex. Hens all have subtle variations in their plumage, sometimes not so subtle as well, and I think it is these subtle differences that are making you believe she is a he. Anyway, they are beautiful, Mindy![]()
