This was clearly on the way to affecting my brain. The head pain was as bad as my gum and jaw . It even caused bladder issues. I've ordered milk thistle incase my liver and kidney has been attacked with it to
Good move... I take Milk Thistle 2 to 3x a week in my old age just in case... cranberry too.

DH has had to use up our Silkie eggs & made me Quiche today in a pecan shell. He makes every Quiche w/ different fillings... this one was 2-cheeses/spinach/no nitrite-nitrate bacon/basil/green onion. TY girls (& 🥰 DH)

Can Rosie take pics? My DH has been taking all my pics for me for over a year cuz I don't want to drop a camera.
She could if I asked her. Honestly, she is the only one I really trust with my camera and she can use it just as good as I can. I may be a bit overprotective of it if I'm honest. My family jokes that camera is my baby and I see where they come from. It will be hard to replace though. I've had it 14 years and I paid over $900 for it back then. Other then the quality of night photo's going down it still works like a dream. That does not bother me as it's not like I'm out at night taking pictures anyway.

Rosie has been taking lots of pictures of and with the chickens lately, all on her phone. I've been going out at night with her to do the final check on everyone and I've been having her use her phone for a flashlight. She gets sidetracked taking selfies with Mrs. E and Juice.

That is so sweet... I love Rosie ❣️

Glad to hear the wee ones are thriving.

My mini crew are all doing well, thank you for asking. Whatever ailed Roxy seems to have cleared up. They will be 5 weeks old on the 25th. Next up will be the integration games, which will happen in these next couple of weeks. They are still pretty little so I am not in a huge hurry tbh. One day at a time ;)

Two of my favorite fluff breeds... can't wait to see the cuckoo adults💕

Thank you.

I may have been against it when virtual was suggested for her this year by her guidance counselor, but it has turned out to be a blessing. Not only has she done her school work without me nagging her, which I really thought I would have to do. She is already 2 weeks ahead in all of her classes. She actually could be further ahead but she has to wait for them to be unlocked. She also has been watching me like a hawk to make sure I do not do nothing I should not be doing. If I need help with something she does it and has not uttered one single complaint. Now, she did leave me stranded in the recliner for about 20 minutes last Friday. I thought I was shouting for her, but when dad came in and let the recliner down he claims I was barely making a sound. It's possible, I was still very much out of it then. After that though when I'm in it I do not put it in the reclining position anymore.

Feeding my sweet yard birds. I have a hard time getting pictures because they're busy busy!
Brainiac is sweet. I also like the Splash bird hope it's a girl. All the feathered feet you have. Pretty egg yield❣️

I use my cell like a Life Alert... DH & I have our cell phones on us 24/7 in case of emergency... especially as I'm starting to wean back into yard work & gardening alone. Even when he's away puppysitting at DD's house & I'm home alone he'll drive back home if I call & need his help w/ the chickens, or if I have a health issue, or whatever. When I had my tumble & broke my arm last year it was a lifesaver to have the phone in my cargo pocket so I could contact him immediately.

Many years ago I stopped a med cold turkey & it hit me suddenly w/ vertigo. I was supposed to drive & pick DH up at work but I was so dizzy I pulled my cell out to text him I would be late & all I typed was XOA cuz you could only type using letters on old phones & I made no sense & I couldn't even talk when he called back ~ he immediately came home using public bus cuz he knew it was too odd. I was still sitting on the front steps in the dark when he came home! Yep, our cells are never out of reach! Now we don't type, we just use voice activation messages❣️

The good old cell phone days!!!

I want to mention Shanai, a honking big pullet and boss of the Nomads, i.e. all her brooder-mates. She must be 25% bigger than everyone else. She regularly spends a lot of time reinforcing her dominant position with the other Nomads. They all play chase and have a lot of stare-downs, but Shanai instigates many of them. Two of the next largest are the buddies she mostly does this with, particularly one she jumps and play fights with, but even the smallest pullets Isabel and Picabo get a light peck when they immediately submit.
Shanai is the middle front pullet

She has massively long, strong legs and they look really big from certain angles

She is so tall. Roo keeps crossing my mind but she's not showing the feathering I don't think. She has been consistently challenging Tedi, and today I heard growling and realized it was not Diane nearby wanting to bite me, it was Tedi, having a real showdown with Shanai. They stared, bent down and pointing beaks at each other, and Tedi kept growling, and then advanced. Tedi was puffed up and Shanai's neck was flared, but she was stepping backwards every so often. Shanai has got guts, she always has had guts, and she's getting big and strong enough to back it up if she really wanted to. But Tedi is not conceding. Shanai did instead, and got several chases right then for her insubordination. That led to Shanai chasing all her brooder mates after Tedi left.

I've been looking at her feathers making sure I'm not seeing pointy ones in her hackles and saddle. Late sun, shining golden on her.
