Those who need help in sexing peafowl

This statement seems completely clear, but since some choose to misunderstand, may I parse:

Statement 1. All eggs do not have salmonella.
Statement 2. If an egg does have salmonella, it will only make someone sick if they eat it raw; as in raw cookie dough.

Thank you, that's sooooo much easier to understand.

My incubator is set at 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Under a bird it's around high 80 low 90. They shift the eggs so they will hatch around the same time. All my eggs that get a developed embryo it hatches if no embryo then it doesn't hatch.

So if I go measure the temp of an egg from under a hen it will be high 80's or low 90's?

Thanks Kathy. I thought your version was perfectly clear, but since I heard a rumor that it collapsed on itself, I thought I'd just prop it up a tiny bit...

And can I add one question, since this is really confusing me:
Birdrain, you claim you sexed Coco as a hen at one day old and then he/she died at one week old.
How do you ascertain that you sexed this chick correctly? Do you have some evidence?
Did you have a necropsy done to determine the sex?

You lose peachicks to stress? Of all things to loose to them, I would not think of that. What do you do to them?

Margaret8,,I'm sure someone will advise diffrently but for the absolute best humidity, set it at 50% and the last 3 days get i get'er up to 60-65% According to Brinsea you should first weigh the egg and during incubation is should lose 11-13% of it's initial weight by hatchtime.Too low humidity will cause crooked toes and splayed legs.

Hi there, I don't think it has to be as exact as the temp does. We do 60% humidity until the last 3 days when they are moved into a hatcher and we raise the humidity in that up to 90%, this works really well for us. Mindy

DylansMom,,higher incubation temps such as 100-100.9 will result in eggs hatching out a day or so sooner, slightly lower temps adds a day or two to hatchtime based on the 99.6 recommeneded.I very seldom have pea eggs hatch on the 28th day,,normally the 26th day they pip and are out,or by the 27th day they are out.
