Thought it was a hen.. but... what do you think?

Her feathers are forming different than our other wyandotte.. maybe she is just developing faster.. she doesn't ACT like a roo at all, but she has me wondering.. she is 12 weeks old. Or he is..

Lacey.. what is a good Male name changeover in case? Lol..

It's hard to see the comb in the pics, but I would expect a 12 wk cockerel to have a very red comb and wattles by now.

Was "she" from a large hatchery? Sometimes the hatcheries are working for larger volumes of chicks and the quality of the feathering can be inconsistent.

Yes.. she was from Hoovers Hatchery through Tractor Supply. The other wyandotte has larger wattles. Will see if I can find a better photo of her comb. Might have to take one tomorrow..

I'll take more photos tomorrow. Only clear photo I have of her head right now is a month old. Hard to believe with as many chicken photos I have on my phone! Lol
