7 out and 1 more zipping and none sticky! The first one hatched is really big! and having trouble keeping her balance but appears really healthy otherwise. Haven't had a chance to look her over yet so we'll see. I finally had to cave last nite and get some sleep. #4 was out before I quit watching and all seemed well.
19hbelgian you don't forget humidity. There's a big write up on dry hatch somewhere on here. Don't have time to find it right now tho. For me I wanted to keep it around 30 but with the genesis 1588 it wanted to be either 20 with no water or 40-50 when I added a Tbsp or 2 of water. So I kinda split the difference and also watched the air sac really closely and if it seemed to get too big too fast I'd add a bit of water and if it slowed too much I wouldn't add for a couple days. Like silkiechicken says she just watches the rate of air cell growth. I'm thinkin this is the big indicator. I was thinking of drilling a second hole in my 1588 to maybe help regulate humidity a little more (I have spare plugs). In my LG humidity always would be around 30 for incubation and mid 60's for hatch and I had better hatches in that as long as I could keep the temp stabilized so thats what I aimed for for this hatch and it seems to have worked beautifully!
Mahonri A humidity pump? Never heard of that. Now that would be the ultimate incubator if you could incorporate something like that into the 1588 cuz I never have any temp worries with this incubator. Just humidity.
rustyswoman aren't the blrw fun!! glad you're enjoying them. Mine are excellent free rangers and when I trade off breeds to free range I always feel bad for them cuz they seem to love it so! Hows the LS coming along?
