You're right, I've been pretty busy over here! I just put four goose eggs and the incubator the other day. It'll be my first time I've ever tried to hatch anything so I'm a little apprehensive but excited!
I had a little bit of tragedy with my duck flock. One died and there were no obvious symptoms, like discharge, acting strangely, wounds, etc. The next day one of my other runners couldn't walk properly. Isolated her and babied her for a couple days and she's back to normal, thank God! I had moved their temporary fencing a couple days before this happened. I didn't know they could get botulism from standing water, which the new area had. I'm wondering if maybe that was the cause, but I don't know for sure. Everybody else looks good, though!

Sorry the rooster didn't work out. It sounds much more peaceful without him, though.
My parents are going to make a trip out here from New York for my birthday next week. I am very excited to see them and for them to see our homestead for the first time. I'm in a bit of a tizzy trying to get things ready.
