yes mine get darker. As the chick gets bigger. And then I worry.

do yours get darker as they go ?
its day 10 for the scovies and the are starting to darken not the shell. like inside. maybe its the veining not letting as much light get through?
im anxious about the pekin eggs.
2 eggs is not great odd, but if i only get 2 chicks out of it i will be happy.

bcuz i know its nothing i could help,. they just didnt develope.

i am clutsy, so i always worry that i am going to drop one of my eggs, i can only imagine goose eggs lol.
thats why when i candle i dont pick mine of i just hold the flashlght against them.

HAHA! Speaking of droping eggs! I got a ancona egg the other day, and was rubbing the dirt of gently. And I was talking to my mom at the same time, a "plop!" the egg fell ! i Was sooooo sad! I was saving it for the bator! Now i have to wait 2 more weeks to get enough to set! URG!

I have a few duck eggs due this week but the broody hen had got off them last Friday and let them get cold. My hubby phoned me when he found them (I was in Sydney) and I told him to put them back under her. But he just put the eggs beside her, not under her

When I looked the next day she was sitting on them again. So, we'll see what happens.
