oh wow i showed grandma the veining in my 2 eggs and told her thursday i was gettin rid of the duds.
and she says ur gona run the incubator for 2 eggs. well duh im not throwing away good eggs, and im not turning bad ones for the next 3 weeks.
2 will be so much easier than 21

You should have said, "You're SO right! What a waste of energy! I'll get some more eggs to put in it."
 
i put a few nest boxes in their house/coop /shed.
1 is an old rabbit nest box.
pretty much just a wood box. with some straw chaft in it.
and the other is a round plastic barrel cut down .
kinda like their 1 waterer if uve noticed it in any pics.

with a goldball throw in each, not sure if that works for ducks as it does chickens.
if they keep laying i might put a nestbox in with the hen in the shed with some golfballs or eggs to try to get her to go broody.
 
My Buff has 8 eggs that she is sitting on. I was out there visiting her and she kept hissing at me. She did not want me to bother her at all, which is not like her at all. The "babies" are starting to make funny noises too. They sound like they are barking instead of quacking.
