Unfortunately the British monarch is our head of state. So Queen Elizabeth is our Queen too. For now. I'd like to be a republic, with no queen, like you.

But we also have a Prime Minister, who is basically elected by their own party, but all the members of the party are elected by the populace. Each small geographical area (an electorate) has its own representative in Parliament (almost all of them are aligned to a party though). We vote about every 4 years and a party or Prime Minister can stay in indefinitely - there is no time limit. At the moment our Prime Minister is a woman, Julia Gillard.

I usually let the ones that needed to be turning go on a break while the others hatch. I keep that incubator locked down tight and threaten everyone in the house that has temptations of opening it up for a better look.

So I am suppose to go on lockdown for my 3 chicken eggs but I have 24 other eggs in there not ready to go for another 10 days. Do I not turn eggs during those days of lockdown? I am going to run into the same problem with my other incubator with ducks and geese

Just got some deer jerky soaking in the marinade to start up the dehydrator tomorrow. That stuff just doesn't last long around here.

Yum! What's your recipe? If you could post it tomorrow that'd be wonderful. I have a dehydrator too. And I love jerky.

I'll post it tomorrow. We add BBQ sauce to the mix. We found a teryaki honey marinade at walmart that we picked up to try, so we got a couple batches in different marinades going on right now.
