Well, I went to hit cancel and accidentally hit "place bid". It was a travesty really. But whada ya do. I guess I'll put them in the bator. This woman was super nice and her birds are really pretty too. So maybe I'll get at least two between Celtic and these.

QJ, Great map! By the way, my name is Janet. My hubby is Iain (pronounced eee--en). He is Scottish, so his name has a weird spelling.

That's pretty cool about the sebbie eggs. I find candling goose eggs way more interesting now than duck eggs, since goosies have a fully developed fetus by day 11. It is wild to watch it swimming around!

I was just searching for info on candling goose eggs. I'm reading that you can't see veining as soon because the shell is thicker.. ?.. And that you're supposed to look for a reddish tint. Other than that, I've having a hard time finding stuff.

What day did you really start to see something?
 
Two things:

I just saw Mr. Drakey trying to "date" my adult Mallard!!! Woo Hoo!!

And I also just saw a young hawk fly by their pool. Probably a foot away from them. Luckily I saw the ducks acting funny and ran outside. He was a little surprised by that.

I've never seen a hawk like this.. He had a blue tint to him.

today is day 8 for pekins.
yea just a yolk. just like the dud scovy eggs
just a dark yoke and air cell.
nuthin else.

my mom says well how do u know they wont develope. like really? they arent gona just pop in there one day
